The three kidnapped Princesses - Villain design

These Characters were created as part of my finale media project for university. The goal of the project was to adapt characters of Austrian fairytales as characters for animation. More specifically the Villains of the fairytales.

One of the fairytales i chose was "Drei Prinzessinnen enführt" (three princesses kidnapped) In this story three princesses are kidnapped by a witch and a soldier, alongside two taillors, is tasked with freeing them. However, it turns out that the tailors were secretly plotting against the soldier to claim all the glory for themselves and after the soldier defeats monsters and frees the princesses, they leave him behind in the hole where the princesses were trapped. The soldier manages to escape with the help of magical creatures and exposes the tailors as well as the witch and gets to marry one of the princesses.

I chose to adapt this fairytale because it has three villains in it and two of them are also twist villains, making it more interesting. I also decided to connect the three villains by turning them into a family. The witch will be the main villain and the mother of the tailors, who are her henchmen and only disguise themselves as tailors to appear more harmless.
