Prima Ballerina

The second just human member of the circus and also the latest addition to the crew is the ballerina Rose. Compared to the other members her background seems a lot less tragic. She comes from a wealthy family and grew up with everything she ever could want. However, under the surface things don’t look so good. She lost her mother at a young age and was then raised by her mentally abusive father, who only wants her to get married to a rich man and do nothing else with her life. She has a passion for ballet just as her mother did, but her father forbids her from pursuing it. She did continue to practice but was found out by her father and put under almost constant supervision. The only time she was free, was when she was doing errands in town. It was then, that one day she had a chance encounter with Aristide, who saved her from being run over in a dangerous traffic situation. He ran off after she realized he was invisible, but intrigued by her savior and wanting to thank him, she began to look for him. Rose then saw a flyer stating that the circus was in town, that had Aristide on it and she decided to go there. As she watched the circus members perform, she was immediately enchanted and knew she wanted to be a part of this. She did manage to thank Aristide and begged him to let her join them, but he refused at first. Not giving up she came back every night to watch the show and slowly started to build a friendship with Aristide and other members. After a few weeks she visited the circus outside of the shows too and slowly became part of the group, having never been this happy before. She grew especially close to Aristide over time and he even started to teach her proper ballet techniques. After a few weeks her father finally found out about her sneaking off to the circus every day and locked her up, after causing a scene and insulting her new friends. Miserable at first Rose then decided that she couldn’t live like that anymore and decided to run away from home, hoping her circus friends would accept her. The same night she ran away, Aristide decided to rescue her and ended up helping her with her own escape. After this, she now travels with the circus as an official member.

Her act is to put on ballet shows and to occasionally sing. She is good at dancing but still needs a lot of training, so she and Aristide practice a lot. She even managed to inspire him to start dancing again, something he hasn’t done since he left his home. They even perform togetherness sometimes.

Due to her privileged upbringing some of the other memes didn’t trust her at first. However, she has a very open mind and easily accepted ever single one of them without judgment or looking down on them. She even stepped up for them when they were being harassed by outsiders and she uses her privilege to help them to the best of her abilities. She also doesn’t shy back from hard work and doesn’t expect any special treatment at all. Out of the members the one she is closest to is Aristide, but she also becomes best friends with Zazie eventually.
