League of Legends Fan Champ : Faust - The torn existence

Some time ago, when the fiddlesticks redesign was released, I was very fascinated with the idea of this ancient demon who haunts runeterra. However, I began to wonder who really would stand a chance against an acient evil like fiddlesticks and got inspired to try something I have never done before and create my own fan league of legends champion.

I wanted to create a character that has powers that are on par with a demon and came to the conclusion that it probably had to be someone who uses the powers of a demon themselves, like Swain does. Then I thought that it might be interesting to explore what would happen to someone like Swain, if they have been connected to this demon for a very long time and thus the idea of Faust was born.

Lore:

With the return of ancient demons to runeterra dark times are ahead. Fear spreads through the lands and people are brutally slaughtered in Demacia, with hords of crows appearing just before those killings happen. As the rumors spread across Demacia, more and more people mention a hooded figure following the track of the killings. Noone knows who this person is, but the little description there is of this stranger, has striking resemplence to an almost forgotten childrens tale of a demon hunter who paid the ultimate price in order to protect his home.

Long ago, in what would now be a part of Noxus, there was a village that was infested by demons. Many mages lived in this city and for a while they were able to fend the demons off. But it seemed the more they fough, the stronger the enemy got until finally they were about to be overrun. In a desperate attempt to turn the tides once more, the most powerful of the mages decided that the last resort for them was to fight fire with fire. So together with his apprentice he attempted to summon a demon to use it as a weapon against the attacking hordes of evil. However, due to his exhaustion from the battle he was unable to control the creature and was cosnumed by it as his apprentice watched in horror. But the ritual was incomplete and the demon couldn´t mainfest a physical form for long, so in order to survive, it had to find a host and as the only living thing nearby the demon possessed the apprentice. Disgusted by the demonic power the boy resisted and they fought for control for days until they finally came to an agreement. The demon would be allowed to use the boy as a host but in return had to lend his power to him and listen to his commands so he could fight other demons with it. The contract was complete and the boy, now sharing his body with a demon, used his new powers to rid his home of any demon attacking, realizing that the demon he now hosted wasn´t just any demon, it was an ancient evil that fed off of other demons to get stronger and was feared among its own kind. After succesfully saving his home the boy remained there for a while but soon noticed the mistrust of his people and the growing hunger of the beast inside him, so he left to travel runeterra and fight demons until they are all gone. Over the years the demon became stronger and stronger as the boy, now a man and immortal, got weaker. As the battles took their toll and the man lost limbs, the demon replaced them but in doing so escaped his vessel step by step and regained control. This led to them starting to merge into one single being, now going by the name of Faust, as their own names are long forgotten. For centuries they traveled runterra and with every year going by, the remaining human side of Faust vanishes more and while it knows that by fighting demons they make runetrra a saver place, deep down the counciousness of the apprentice knows that with every defeated demon his own grows stronger and that eventually he will loose control and release the worst threat yet onto runeterra. But for now they have another target, an old acquaintance of the demon, who once again spreads fear in runeterra.

Faust would be a mid laner

Passive: When Faust kills an enemy Champion or assists in a kill the cooldown to their R gets reduced by 5%. The maximum effect is a reduction of 25%

Q (8sec cooldown) : Faust attacks his enemies with their demon arm. If they hit they regenerate life and harvest essence. When they collect 10 essence their lifesteal increases by 5 %

w (10 sec cooldown): Faust summons shackles and throws them at enemies. If hit, enemnies are slowed down by 30 %. If hit after landing Q enemies freeze for 2 sconds.

E (15sec cooldown): Faust summons a shield that protects them from magic damage. He gains 15% armour and magic resistance for 2 seconds.

R (200 seconds cooldown): Faust changes into their demon form. They gain 20% speed and increase their lifesteal by 50% for 10 seconds. Their range increaes due to the demon arm.
